Chongqing Jialing All-Terrain Motor Vehicle Co., Ltd. (abbreviated as Jialing All-Terrain Company) was incorporated with the industry and commerce authorities on February 2, 2016. The company is dedicated to the research and development of military-civilian dual-use all-terrain motor vehicles, including the 4x4 series, 8x8 series, and unmanned vehicle series. It has comprehensive R&D and production capabilities for light all-terrain vehicles. Its all-terrain products currently in production have independent intellectual property rights, and several models have reached internationally advanced levels. Jialing All-Terrain Company consists of “four departments and one center,” namely the General Administration Department, Quality Department, Manufacturing Department, Marketing Department, and R&D Center. It has 180 employees, registered capital of RMB 100 million, 60 sets of scientific research and production equipment, 1,000 square meters of office space, and 13,000 square meters of factory space. Since 2002, with the core personnel of the current Jialing All-Terrain Company as the backbone, its major shareholder Jialing Co., Ltd. has successively carried out R&D projects for the JH600 motorcycle, motor snowmobile, 8x8 all-terrain vehicle, 4x4 all-terrain vehicle, unmanned vehicle, and other products. After years of persistent effort, Jialing All-Terrain Company has completed 9 provincial- and ministerial-level scientific research projects, won 12 provincial- and ministerial-level science and technology awards, and obtained 99 valid authorized patents. It owns the “Chongqing All-Terrain Vehicle Engineering Technology Research Center” recognized by the Chongqing Science and Technology Commission. The company has successfully established three major technical architectures: multi-axle all-terrain vehicles characterized by differential-speed steering technology; light high-mobility off-road vehicles characterized by trajectory steering and multi-wheel drive; and unmanned all-terrain vehicles characterized by differential-speed steering plus fuel drive/electric drive/hybrid fuel-electric drive. These provide the necessary technical support for enriching and improving the product portfolio. In line with the military product development strategy of “building light and ultra-light high-mobility platforms and developing weaponry and equipment as an integrated system within the group,” the company’s actual controller, China South Industries Group Corporation, has taken the establishment of Jialing All-Terrain Company as an opportunity to regard the company’s light all-terrain vehicle business as a major component of the group’s high-mobility platform and to build it into a high-mobility weapon-carrying platform for the group. In the future, the company will adhere to the development approach of “military-civilian integration, military priority before civilian use,” take meeting military needs as its foundation, actively promote sales in the civilian and foreign trade markets, and form an industrial pattern in which “military products have scale and civilian products have a foundation,” thereby creating sound social and economic benefits for the company.
