Jihua Group Corporation Limited was formerly a military supplies and uniform enterprise under the Chinese People’s Liberation Army. Its earliest history can be traced back to 1927. Both during wartime and in the period of peaceful development, it made important contributions to the development of the PLA. In 2000, to meet the requirements for military support under the new circumstances, and in accordance with the arrangements of the CPC Central Committee, the State Council, and the Central Military Commission, the military transferred certain support enterprises to Xinxing Ductile Iron Pipes (Group) Co., Ltd. for management. In 2006, Jihua Light Industry Group Co., Ltd. was established to coordinate and manage its affiliated light-industry manufacturing enterprises. On June 26, 2009, Jihua Group Corporation Limited was established through restructuring and reform, and was listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange on August 16, 2010, raising RMB 4 billion and becoming the first listed company in the field of military supplies and uniforms.
